Films in competition will compete for the PADIES Prix: The Keys to the Castle, with which The winning filmmaker will open the doors to the castle and spend a full two weeks as Padiès honored guest Artist in Residence. The prize allows for developing the winner's next film with two other collaborators- and can be anything from location scouting, scripting, research, test shooting, and more!

The artist and up to two collaborators will enjoy the gracious hospitality of PADIES proprietors and festival organizers. Life at Padiès includes one gastronomic meal a day, a room in the castle, the grounds to roam.

Les films seront en compétition pour le Prix de PADIES: Les Clés du Château...Qui permet au cinéaste gagnant d'ouvrir les portes du château et de passer deux semaines complètes comme artiste-invité d'honneur. Le prix permet au gagnant de travailler à la réalisation de son prochain film avec deux collaborateurs- que ce soit sur le plan de la localisation d'un emplacement, de la scénarisation, de la recherche, des essais de prise de vue, et plus!

L'artiste bénéficie aussi de l'hospitalité des propriétaires et des organisateurs du festival à Padiès. Le séjour comprend un repas gastronomique par jour, une chambre dans le château, la propriété pour flâner.

HOW IT WORKS

The PADIES prix is not like any other competition. Total value over 5000 euros.

• All filmmakers selected for the TOMORROW section of the festival are asked to submit a proposal for a film that they would next like to make, stating how they could benefit from a residency at PADIES.
• The filmmakers themselves will vote on who they believe would most benefit from a residency. (They can also offer themselves as collaborators.)
•  The project that gets the most votes wins the PADIES prix unless there is no vote, or a tied vote in which case the
• The public vote (the Audience award) on the competition films (the TOMORROW section) will be the deciding factor.

AUDIENCE AWARD

• The audience award winner will be offered a weekend for two at the Chateau de PADIES with one gastronomic meal.
